Warm weather is back!

I have been delinquent in my posting!
First up is the new skylight in the kitchen area. This one required a new hole in the roof and all new trim.

The skylight can only go in so many places because it goes between roof trusses (aluminum framing) meaning that it can't cut through the existing framing but must fit in one of the spaces between.
The chosen location seen at the left is 2 spaces over from where the hole in the roof is for the air conditioner.
The inside portion went pretty quickly, I just had to add some wood bracing inside the roof so things could be screwed in (the ceiling material is quite thin and will not hold screws).
The problems came when I went to transfer the hole to the outside of the trailer (in the roof) and it became apparent that the air conditioner was not centered over the hole in the roof!

The short project just got a bit longer as we had to remove the air conditioner and set it aside on the roof until the new skylight was completely finished.
Here you can see the new skylight already installed and caulked in place. Note the clean area right above it - that is where the air conditioner lives.
Luckily the air conditioner fits over the caulk just fine but when it is time to re-caulk that skylight the air conditioner would need to come off again!
After the top was finished it just took a trim piece inside (with some plastic attached to it for insulation to finish it up!
The other major area we have been working on is continuing the woodwork at the back (building, and putting panels in place)

We also installed a cabinet across from where the slouch couch will be and put in a TV lift for the TV.
We ended up buying the TV as we have designed the space around the size of a 40" TV that we didn't want to find out later would not be available. We also ended up buying a new DVD player to get one that was shallow enough to fit in the cabinet.

The big black thing inside the cabinet is the TV lift.
The top shelf on the left (right hand picture) is for the DVD player. Next two slide out trays below the DVD player will be for the scanner and printer.
Not shown in here is the TV mounted on the lift with the speaker mounted directly above the TV (going up and down with it) and sub-woofer will be located under the TV.
The cabinet will have some cloth sections to let the sound out when the TV is not up, as well as having a removable panel covering the TV when it is in the down position so we can remove the panel and use the TV as a fireplace (or fish tank . . . depending on the YouTube that is showing).
Finally we did some electrical work in the back wall and started putting the cedar paneling on the wall! That really starts to make things look finished.
