Thanksgiving 2024: Grayton Beach SP, Florida

Happy belated Thanksgiving to everyone! We spent our second Thanksgiving in a row down in the Florida Panhandle visiting with Julie's sister and her family. They have a condo right on the beach, and we were fortunate to have (mostly) gorgeous weather during our stay. The only thing keeping it from being absolutely awesome was that our kids couldn't join us this year 🙁.

A great day for travel

We had a particularly nice site at Grayton Beach State Park this year--nice and private with a view of the dune forest through our back door.

The days are so short now that it is getting harder to get set up before the sun goes down

We had a couple of days to ourselves before the relatives arrived, so we took a walk along the state park beach and went for a bike ride to some of the neighboring beach towns.

The rest of our time was spent having fun with family and witnessing some amazing sunsets.

And that's all for our 2024 travels! Our next stop is our winter home in Ruskin, Florida. Our blog posts will be fewer and far between from now on, but we will most likely publish a couple of them before heading out again in April, 2025.
